search：「～を捜索する」

動詞のsearchは〈search＋場所〉の形で「場所を捜索する」という意味を表す。本文のsearched … the office of the operator of a tour boatは「観光船の運営会社の事務所を家宅捜索した」という意味で使われている。この他、〈search＋場所＋for ～〉（～を探して場所を捜索する）というパターンも押さえておこう。
