A 7-year-old Scottish boy sent a birthday card to his father in heaven and, a few weeks later, he received a heart-warming reply from a Royal Mail official.
Jase Hyndman’s card read: “Mr. Postman, Can you take this to heaven for my dad’s birthday. Thanks.”
Sean Milligan, assistant delivery office manager for Royal Mail, wrote back, saying: “This was a difficult challenge avoiding stars and other galactic objects on route (sic) to heaven. However, please be assured that this particular important item of mail has been delivered.”
Jase’s mother, Teri Copland, posted images of the two letters on Facebook on Nov. 28. Her post has been shared more than 270,000 times.
Copland says, “I actually cannot state how emotional he is knowing his dad got the card. … You’ve just restored my faith in humanity. And thank you, it honestly means the world to him.” (AP)
