Bakers in the United States are complaining that something is amiss with Hershey’s Kisses.
The tips of many of the teardrop-shaped chocolates are mysteriously missing. Some classic cookie recipes feature Hershey’s Kisses, and bakers say the broken tops are ruining the look of their holiday creations.
One Facebook group, called the Wedding Cookie Table Community, posted photos on their Facebook page showing Kisses with their tops broken off.
The Hershey Company saw the posts and responded.
Company spokesman Jeff Beckman told the Lebanon Daily News the chocolate company is reviewing the issue. Beckman said Hershey has donated baking items to the group as a thank you for pointing out the issue.
“We love our Kisses as much as our consumers,” Beckman said. “We want each of them looking as great as they taste.”
However, he didn’t say why the tips were missing. (Reuters)
