U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un will hold a second summit on denuclearization near the end of February, the White House said Jan. 18 in a bare-bones announcement that left many questions unanswered ? including what steps Washington expects from Pyongyang and vice versa.

The announcement of the summit, which would be the second in less than a year, came after a 90-minute meeting at the White House between Trump and Kim Yong Chol, the right-hand man of the North Korean leader.

“President Donald J. Trump met with Kim Yong Chol for an hour and a half, to discuss denuclearization and a second summit, which will take place near the end of February,” White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders said, according to televised remarks. “The president looks forward to meeting with Chairman Kim at a place to be announced at a later date.”
